Overview

One hundred years after Grazia Deledda was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature, the University of Cambridge will host the international conference Grazia Deledda’s Waves: Networks, Memories and Legacies 100 Years After the Nobel Prize. The centenary celebrations will then extend from Cambridge to London. On 27 September 2026, marking Grazia Deledda’s birthday, we re thrilled to present  a special screening of Quasi Grazia (2025) by Peter Marcias at Regent Street Cinema. The film will be followed by an in-person Q&A with the director!

Organised in connection with the conference, the screening of Quasi Grazia is a joint initiative of the Italian Section of the University of Cambridge, the Italian Cultural Institute in London and CinemaItaliaUK. It is part of FUTURE CLASSICS, CinemaItaliaUK and ICI’s collaboration showcasing the best of contemporary Italian cinema.
